Eclipse is a modern and innovative database-driven application that is cloud-ready and includes a suite of unique and superior features that significantly differentiate it from other products.
It is designed for Estimators, Quantity Surveyors, Cost Engineers, Construction and Engineering Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, and other professionals to manage the simplest or most sophisticated measurement, pricing, analysis, reporting, and cost intelligence objectives.
Developed based on our successful Everest and RIPAC estimating products, Eclipse reduces manual and repetitive tasks and increases the efficiency, quality, productivity, and, therefore, profitability of the users, whatever their size, scope, and area of operation.
Increase productivity and efficiency with Eclipse’s Digital Measurement module tool, which measures directly from PDF, DWG, IFC, and DWF drawings and various image file formats. This tool provides a direct and interactive interface to your Eclipse dimensions.
Bill Production
Bill production within Eclipse is achieved using a modern style, user-friendly ribbon toolbar, with a a clear, concise and flexible data worksheet.
Insert items manually, copy from a previous project, or insert from a construction industry library or method of measurement; including SMM7, NRM2, CESMM, MMHW, TII RMP and POMI.
Set-up and configure each bill to a project’s requirements using a hierarchical level structure. Save and load different templates to achieve standardisation across projects and allow for maximum productivity and immediate bill population.
Comprehensive Copy and Paste functions allows entire bills and sections to be copied between separate projects and individual bills, with the ability to copy multiple items, units, quantities and rates in a matter of clicks.
View and manipulate the information as you wish with a plethora of functions, such as undo and redo, unmeasured and unpriced items, filters, rounding, totalling, and description search and replace.
Rates and Pricing
Rates can be directly entered against any item descriptions or element, as well as built up using Rate Libraries or a combination of the two.
Adjusted and amended Rates at the Standard Rate or Project Rate level, allowing flexibility for a specific project or Bill.
Composite and Assembly Rates are available, and bulk-Rate adjustment can easily be applied. Identify, filter, and adjust your Rates by the user-created or imported Codes, Descriptions, Budget Categories, Resource Categories, and Price Units.
Unlimited Standard Rate Sets, Libraries and Books, priced or unpriced, can be created and stored within or imported into Eclipse, and you can link any Rates to selected Cost Indices.
Reports by Budget or Resource Category can be automatically generated, and data exported to job costing systems to enable the generation of project budgets.
Users can create their own price adjusters (mark-ups) to apply margins, site allowances, increased costs, risk, contingencies, etc. with simple or compounding effects, and can choose to spread the effects through the existing rates or show as separately identified sums.
Standard preliminaries can be automatically incorporated for estimation purposes.
Digital Measurement
Take-off with ease using our fully integrated Digital Measurement module.
Create objects manually or create them instantly from the items within your Bill or Cost Plan using the automatic object function.
Drag and drop objects to live-link items within your Bill, allowing automatic updating of your measures and Bill quantities.
Get multiple measures of different units from a single measure, use multiple scales on a single drawing, and revise measures from previous drawings over new revisions.
Apply previous revision mark-ups over more recently received revisions and make amendments to reflect changes in information that instantly update in your Bill.
Take-off over from PDF files, as well as DWG, DWF and IFC BIM files, export BIM Schedules, and view 2D objects as 3D.
Customised Reporting
Standardise your Bill of Quantities, Cost Plan, and Estimate reports at a project and company-wide level.
Customise Bill of Quantities to reflect specific Bills or Bill-Parts, as well as automated information such as company logo, project description and number, and preferred formatting.
Eclipse’s use of report templates allows consistency through each report regardless of content or creator.
Include project specific Cover and Content pages using the Custom Report function, and include graphs, charts, and bespoke formatting to produce a bespoke report of the highest standard.
Export to PDF or Microsoft Excel, as well as EBQ/CITE, Text, XML and ConQuest compatible files depending on your project specific requirements.
Include preferences within each export, such as code and page numbering alterations, as well as Excel capabilities such as formula inclusion, sheet locking, and rate hiding.
Cost Planning and Estimating
Eclipse offers highly flexible Cost Plan and Estimating capabilities using libraries of descriptions, as well as NRM1, MasterFormat, UniFormat elemental coding systems and in-house Phraseologies.
Customise your reports to include a cover page, contents page, charts and graphs, images, and selected information and data to give a report of the highest standard.
The use of Templates allows companies and users to start from pre-determined views and layouts within Eclipse, allowing professionalism, consistency and continuity to provide the high standard and detail that is required from such reports.
Tendering
Import and compare returned Tenders in Eclipse’s fully integrated Module, allowing for amendments to imported Rates, adjustments such as Risk, selection of winning Tenders, and overwriting your Estimate Rates with ease.
Industry Standards
Eclipse supports a wide range of industry-standard libraries and Methods of Measurement, including SMM7, NRM2, CESMM3, CESMM4, MMHW, as well as custom in-house schemes. This flexibility ensures every project is measured and reported in line with the required standards, while keeping your workflow adaptable and aligned with project-specific requirements.
Multi-User
Genuine multi-user capabilities enable all concurrent users to simultaneously work on the same job, thereby eliminating the need to merge separately completed sections.
Audit Trail
All transactions can be recorded and searched through an audit process which identifies "when", "who", and "what" details.
Search, Sorting and Filtering
Eclipse makes navigating bills and reports effortless. Whether you’re searching for a specific item, or sorting, rearranging and filtering data, you can instantly access and view the information how you wish. By focusing on sections and parts of your project, you can make faster amendments, generate reports more quickly, and keep attention on the details that matter most.
Hosting Platform
